The Great Cake Bake is a Sweet Treat for all ages
Celebrate 5 sweet years of Imagination Library this Saturday at the L&N
What's a birthday without a cake? This year, Knox County Public Library is celebrating five sweet years of Imagination Library with a day devoted to cakes. Join us for a fun-filled day of sweetness on Saturday, March 13, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the L&N Train Station on World's Fair Park. The Great Cake Bake will highlight our area's best cake bakers, showcase competition cakes and even offer cakes for sale. General admission is only $5--and children ages 10 and younger get in for free! You can buy tickets at the door, at any Library location, or online at www.knoxlib.org.
There's something for everyone: professional showcase of celebration and wedding cakes, a demonstration stage featuring Chef Walter from WVLT, the cake decorating competition display, and lots of children's activities. Kids will be amazed by Magician Michael Messing and musician Sean McCullough, and can have fun with the cupcake decorating and a cake walk. There's even a book and bake sale--where you can pick up a great cookbook or walk away with a tasty treat.
It's a sweet day, and all the funds raised will go to support Imagination Library--making sure that Knox County children will continue to get free books in the mail, every month, until age 5. Learn more at www.knoxlib.org.
