Yellow Cops
Submitted by StaceyDiamond on Wed, 2008/03/26 - 7:04pm.
I'm excited that Sundown is back soon, but one thing, I wish they would do away with the yellow shirt cops. I don't mind to have a guy look through my purse to get on a plane, but for a concert that went on for 9 years without incident without them, I find it violating, and frustrating that I can't bring a bottle of water. I also wish the Wailers were coming this year, they're my favorite Sundown band, but Tedeschi puts on a great show. If you haven't seen tomorrow's MP yet the list is there.

Once last year I had got some iced tea from a Sundown vendor, stepped a few inches out of the boundary and a yellow cop would not let me back in with the tea. This was during the heat wave and I was pissed enough to get into it with the yellow cop, so I put the tea in my car and came back.
If someone wants to sneak in a "Scott West special" as anonymous put it, or even a shot bottle, you could easily hide that in your clothing, maybe they'll start a strip search. As for me, I just want to enjoy the show without a privacy invasion and 5$ beer. I hope the Grotto has free admission on Thurs. again this year, it was good way to cool off and get cheaper beer and hear after the show music.
They will let you in with a bottle of water, it is the Scott West special that you can't take in. This event is a family friendly event after all.
I have 1 kid, 1 on the way, and I personally could give a damn what people bring in as long as they're not shooting me with it.

I am so thrilled to see my Texas fav, Robert Earl Keen, perform on May 29, I will submit to a strip search if necessary.
